I could not be happier school is out for the SUMMER! I have always loved having the kids home with me! There is a love/hate relationship with schedule/no schedule, but I will take them home with me any day of the week. I cannot believe we have already been out over a week! I didn’t get off to the best start for summer. Honestly, I knew I was burning the candle at both ends. There have been a ton of memes out there on May being busier for us mommas than December, it is just about 100% true. I didn’t schedule anything for the last week of school for myself, but Kris thought it was a good time to schedule A/C maintenance. We had so many end of the year activities and I want to be there for all of them! And it didn’t really stop for us even with school being out!
But I think the kids have had fun this past week, which was my main goal. Even if I did flood our laundry room trying to water my fiddle fig. I had heard to let the water trickle for 15-30 minutes and then let it sit overnight. Well… lets just say I let the water trickle all night. We woke up to the biggest mess. Water throughout my cabinets. It could have been so much worst, but not how I wanted to start my summer. I am thankful for a husband that had pity on a wife who has too many irons in the fire and just completely spaced.
We always head to the lake for the whole summer.
I know many think we are crazy for jetting out of town for 2 months, but I will not be able to do this much longer with the kids and I treasure our time up there so much. It is a totally different mode for each of us to recharge and enjoy time with my family. We have a few fun trips we where we will be meeting up Kris.
I have worn skinny jeans for so long now! I honestly thought I wouldn’t be giving them up for a while. Then my obsession over the AGOLDE 90’s FIT DENIM entered the equation. I think that has now sparked my love for the flare denim that is so popular right now! I love it paired with a cute summer top! Especially some of the bodysuits that are out right now! All of it brings me right back to my middle school days.
