Basic Wardrobe For The Stay At Home Mom
When I think the basic wardrobe for the stay at home mom, I want all the comfiest and coziest pieces I can mix and match. Items that I don’t have to think hard about putting together as I am running around making lunches, walking dogs, preparing snacks, and water bottles for school. You know, the normal morning routine as the kids run out the door for school. Wardrobe staples that are super easy and make you feel good.
I am a basic girl and a majority of my wardrobe is neutral colors. That way when I am building my wardrobe I can easily mix and match my items. I have made a shopping list of items you will need to build your mom capsule wardrobe. All of the current denim, leggings, tees, and cozy sets you need to take you from daytime errands to night time routine.
Mom Jeans
My obsession with the Mom Jean started a some time ago. I think I will forever be a fan of the high waisted jeans that hold everything in. Especially after having kids, I love the cut and comfort of them. If I am not in leggings, I will most likely be hanging out in my Mom Jeans.
The Legging
What in the world did I do before the legging? I honestly don’t know what I wore. Leggings are an essential for the stay at home mom or any mom for that matter. I workout in my leggings and then it is so easy to throw on a cute tee or oversized tunic and you have your outfit for the day. They are the best because you can be comfortable while wearing them all the time, working out, hanging out at the house, or running errands. These leggings I wear throughout the fall and winter. I am a huge fan and will wear them almost 3 times a week. Definitely a wardrobe essential.
Cozy Sets
I have been loving all of the cute and cozy sets available. It is still warm here in Florida, so I have been pairing the sweats with my favorite tank. Once it cools down I will be living in these cute sets. And they don’t have to cost you an arm and a leg, on of my favorite sets is from Walmart and looks designer and of course it is so soft.
Tee
I could own a million tees and still find one more to buy. From graphic tees, concert tees, or the cute basic white tees. I am here for all of them.
Comfy Shoes
The big joke around here is how many shoes mom owns. I try and deflect their attention onto their own shoe collection. (Brydon is just as obsessed with shoes and if you find him saving up his money it is usually for a new pair of kicks) But honestly my collection could be a lot worse. I am here for the comfort, especially when I am running after kids and constantly trying to keep up.
