Spring Break Packing List
Bring on the warm weather. Please! If Florida isn’t going to cooperate, at least I can enjoy some pool days in my dreams. With Spring Break around the corner, my mind is shifting toward vacation mode, and I’m ready to start planning my next trip. Preferably somewhere warm, where I can enjoy more days that look like this one.
If you’re like me and itching for a vacation, you’re in the right place! I’ve been mentally packing my suitcase for weeks (let’s be honest, months) and have compiled the perfect checklist for your next vacation, whether you’re going somewhere warm for Spring Break or simply planning a quick staycation somewhere nearby.
Luggage & Packing Cubes
I don’t know about you, but the packing/unpacking process can sometimes be the most daunting for me when it comes to vacations, especially when you’re packing for an entire family. Between Kris, myself, and the kids, our luggage can get a bit full! It definitely helps to have the right travel gear to get everything off to a good start.
Swimwear
If you’re heading somewhere warm, a few swimsuit options are a must. I like to pack a few different styles so I can decide what to wear based on the activity. That way I’m prepared for wherever the day takes us, whether we’re just lounging by the pool or heading out on an adventure.
Hats
A good hat is a must-have. In fact, the more, the merrier! I like to bring a variety of straw hats and baseball caps with me so I have plenty of options depending on the day and activity. Not only are they great for sun protection, but they also can be a huge helper in between washes.
Sunglasses
If you’ve ever forgotten your sunglasses while driving, you know it’s the worst. The last place you want that happening is on vacation. I love collecting sunglasses because they’re a functional accessory. Such a fun way to change up your look for the day while still serving the important purpose of protecting your eyes.
Shorts & Light Tops
My ideal vacation uniform is a light top and some denim shorts. From flowy button-downs to linen tops to graphic tees, I’m all about light, casual tops when packing for somewhere warm. They pack so well, and they’re easy to throw on with a pair of jeans and some wedges for a dressier dinner at night.
Sandals
I’m a firm believer that you can never have too many pairs of sandals, and the same is true when it comes to packing for a vacation. Here in Florida, we live in sandals, so I’ve definitely perfected the art of finding the right ones. I love a good mix of casual slides and flip-flops and dressier options for date night.
Beach Bags
Any bag can become a Mary Poppins bag when you’re a mom. It’s amazing how skilled we are at packing the essentials for the entire family, and it all starts with the right bag. When it comes to beach bags, I love all different styles: the ones that are true, straw beach bags and the ones that could double as a purse.
Sunscreen, Skincare & Haircare
I absolutely love the sun, but it’s important to take precautions, especially when you’re on vacation. I never leave for a trip without making sure I have all my skincare and haircare needs covered, and that includes a great lineup of sunscreen options. Here are some of my skin and haircare essentials for your next vacation.
Where’s your next vacation? Any exciting plans in the works? Let me know where you’re headed next!
